Care Worker

We are now looking for an on-call worker for the elderly home in Lahti for our warm-hearted, competent work community. Aavatar is located in a naturally beautiful place in Jalkaranta, Lahti. There are good transport links and the distance to Lahti city center is about 4 km. At Attendo, we are 'On the Way Home'. This means we want to be, above all, a home for the elderly, disabled, and those in mental health and substance abuse rehabilitation. In recent years, by investing in management, customer experience, and encounters, we have managed to grow both relative and resident satisfaction as well as staff satisfaction to a historical peak. Every resident deserves to be met as themselves and live a full life. As an Attendo employee, you are an important part of this mission. As an on-call worker, you can work when it suits you best. On-call work is flexible and your colleagues are tough care professionals. You can choose how many shifts you do – this allows you to fit the work alongside another job, studies, or family leave. Through on-call work, opportunities for longer substitutions or permanent employment at Attendo may open up if desired. Work is 2- or 3-shift work and we can agree on the start date with you. What do we require from you? - Social and health care studies (e.g., practical nurse or care assistant degree or student) - Vaccination protection as intended by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act to protect clients and patients throughout the employment relationship - Criminal record extract for employment relationships longer than three months (when working with minors, elderly and disabled) - Hygiene passport or readiness to complete it within three months of starting employment - Fluent Finnish language skills - Sote professional card (certification card) What do we offer you? - We walk beside you: Your supervisor is not far away, but present in everyday life – supporting and walking beside you.
