We are looking for part-time responsible instructors for the students' Business Village in Kuopio for the school year 2026–2027. NYT Business Village Primary School is a learning environment where sixth graders from all over Finland simulate various professions and the functioning of society on a small scale. Up to 95 students can be in our learning environment. In NYT Business Village Lower Secondary School, ninth graders lead companies as teams on an experiential game arena. A maximum of 30 students can play in the lower secondary school game situation. We are looking for employees for our team who can work at least 25 hours per month. Depending on the month, 3-7 hour shifts are approx. 1-2 times a week (excluding school holidays). In some months there are minimum hours, and in other months more hours are available. We are also looking for instructors for the team who can come to work on short notice if necessary. Please mention in your application if this option interests you particularly. We are looking for people of different ages, from different cultural backgrounds and of different genders for our team – we want you to join us! Our instruction language is Finnish, so we expect all responsible instructors to speak fluent Finnish. Your duties in the Business Village include: - Guiding students: you can encourage and motivate students or calm the student group if necessary. - Hosting event days and taking care of practical arrangements: you enjoy performing or want to become a better performer. You react quickly in changing situations with a solution-oriented approach. - Acting in plot-based roles: you throw yourself into the game, guide while acting in a role and get the students excited too! - Cooperation with teachers: you understand that teachers are important to us and meet them in a friendly and helpful manner. - Cooperation with colleagues: you understand the importance of teamwork in achieving a common goal. - Taking care of the learning environment: you want to ensure that our learning environment is tidy and things can be found in the agreed places even after a busy day of activity. We hope the applicant has a genuine desire to work with children and youth. We value previous experience in working with children and youth in hobby activities, volunteer work or working life. As a new responsible instructor, you will receive comprehensive and high-quality orientation for your work. The employment begins at the end of September 2026 and ends in April or May 2027. During the school year, you will work according to the number of hours agreed in the contract and your working hours are mainly 3–7 hours on weekdays between 8 and 16.
