We are looking for a Pediatric Neurologist for a permanent position at the outpatient clinic of Ahveniston Hospital in Hämeenlinna! The work is regular full-time day work, but arranging part-time hours is also possible. Some of the work can be done remotely. You will perform versatile pediatric neurology work as part of a pleasant, multidisciplinary, and skilled team. In addition to physicians, our team includes neuropsychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, a physiotherapist, nurses, a rehabilitation instructor, a social worker, and a ward secretary. There are two specialist pediatric neurology positions in our unit: a chief physician and the specialist physician position currently being recruited. The chief physician position is permanently filled. The work is outpatient clinic work and does not include on-call duties. We especially value good cooperation and teamwork skills as well as a flexible approach to work. The position offers a versatile job description within pediatric neurology and includes the development of the wellbeing services county's operations and the training of other employees. We require a degree as a specialist in pediatric neurology and fluent oral and written Finnish language skills to ensure patient safety. Remuneration is determined in accordance with the current Physician Agreement and the approved guidelines for physician salary bases. In addition to the position-specific salary, we pay an experience-based supplement of either 3% or 8%. The accumulation of vacation days is also determined based on length of service. Other terms are determined by HYVTES. Working hours are 38.25 h/week, and flexible working hours are available. Applications must be received by the end of the application period. Applications must be submitted via the Kuntarekry system. Recruitment interviews will be conducted after the application period ends. A six-month probationary period applies. The position requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis clearance of the respiratory organs according to Section 55. The selected person must present an acceptable medical certificate of their health within the specified time after receiving the selection decision. Those working with children must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993) in accordance with Section 3 of the Act on the Checking of Criminal Backgrounds (504/2002) before starting work.
