For the Transport and Natural Resources sector at the Taivalkoski branch, we are seeking a lecturer for a permanent position starting September 28, 2026, or by agreement. In this role, you will teach vocational content for the mining or earthmoving sectors, including machine technology, welding, maintenance, and upkeep, and you will be responsible for the personalization of studies. Teaching takes place through client work in companies, at the educational institution's practice sites, or in other learning environments at the branch. You will fit well into our team if you have a collaborative spirit, initiative, and a willingness to develop new things. In addition to professional expertise in the field, you succeed with good interaction and teamwork skills. OSAO Educational Consortium enables professional growth, work-life skills, and continuous learning. The Taivalkoski branch is OSAO's northernmost location. In addition to earthmoving and mining, professionals in the forestry sector are trained in Taivalkoski. Up-to-date teaching equipment and practice sites located near the branch provide excellent conditions for learning the profession. Graduates are employed at a rate of nearly 100%. The branch has a student dormitory. We also consider those who have completed a specialist vocational qualification suitable for the mining and earthmoving sectors, who possess teacher qualifications according to Decree A986/1998, and have at least five years of work experience in the field. Eligibility must be evident from the application. Performing the duties also requires a good theoretical foundation in earthmoving or mining machinery technology and at least five years of practical experience working as an earthmoving or mining machinery operator. We also require basic-level professional competence training in the transport sector and a Category C driver's license. Good interaction and teamwork skills, as well as a development-oriented approach to work, are considered an advantage. Experience in work-life cooperation is valued. The position is subject to a six (6) month probationary period.
