We are seeking an HSE Specialist for our client to support safety, occupational health and environmental management in an international industrial setting. The role coordinates HSE operations, maintains documentation, reports, supports audits and helps implement new practices. The position is a six-month fixed-term contract with potential extension after expiry. The work can be done flexibly remotely, but requires regular presence in the Varkaus and Kuopio regions and occasional travel within Finland. Responsibilities include maintaining and developing HSE management systems, planning and coordinating HSE activities, participating in meetings and collaborating with various teams, documenting and reporting information, and supporting audits and improvement actions. Requirements include a polytechnic/university-level education, basic knowledge of HSE management systems and ISO standards, experience in HSE/safety/environment or occupational health, fluent Finnish and English, strong organizational, documentation and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and with stakeholders. Nice-to-have items include additional training in occupational health or safety, experience with audits or management-system development, and experience in international environments.
