Versowood is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter for its Vierumäki unit. This is a versatile and independent role responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of a challenging production environment through mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations. The primary goal is to ensure that production runs efficiently and safely without disruptions. The role is based in a professional maintenance department supporting five business lines at the sawmill. The position requires education in maintenance or the technical field. Due to the independent nature of the work, candidates with sufficient expertise and experience in industrial environments are preferred, specifically in troubleshooting production lines, repair, preventive maintenance, and development tasks. Good social skills are also an advantage. The work is organized in a three-shift rotation. Versowood offers a permanent position in a developing factory environment with opportunities for professional growth. The company may also start a vocational qualification group for maintenance, allowing employees to study for a degree while working. The Vierumäki site employs approximately 300 people, with about 40 working in maintenance.
