
Product Engineer / Process Engineer

We are seeking a senior engineer eager to make an impact in the world of stainless steel, working on high-profile projects at the forefront of innovation. You will collaborate with senior experts to improve process methods, enhance quality, and reduce costs. You will create and execute test plans, document improvements, and drive continuous improvements. You will participate in cutting-edge projects, working with top expertise and leading innovations in process metallurgy, cold rolling, annealing, and pickling. You will collaborate with universities, institutes, and customers to develop new technical knowledge and future technologies. You will represent Outokumpu in internal and external assignments, including supplier and customer visits. You will act as the link between Sales and Production, providing technical expertise and support to the Sales organization to determine what can be produced, and advising Production how product parameters affect production. You should have a Master’s degree in metallurgy and materials science or equivalent experience, 1–3 years in a similar role (preferably in metallurgy/material science, especially annealing, cooling, and rolling of stainless steel), strong analytical skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, teamwork, time management, risk management, and the ability to present information effectively to diverse audiences.
