Junior Ubuntu Software Engineer

Based on the first round of interviews, we identify specific teams where you might be an excellent fit. Our engineers design, build and ship software in Rust, Go, Python and C/C++. They package, integrate, test and upload open source software to the Ubuntu repositories. They debug issues and deliver robust solutions. They author and improve technical and community documentation. They contribute to upstream and neighboring open source projects. They collaborate as part of a globally distributed team and continuously learn and progress their technical and professional skills. We look for exceptional academic records, an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your path. You should be able to travel to company events up to twice a year for up to two weeks each. Location: We have remote roles open in every time zone. Nice-to-have includes familiarity with Linux distributions and CI/CD tooling.
