Tampere Vocational College Tredu is the second largest provider of vocational education in Finland. Tredu operates across eight municipalities in Pirkanmaa. Approximately 17,000 young people or adults study at Tredu annually. There are about a thousand staff members. Tredu serves companies in developing staff competence. We train skilled employees and students through apprenticeship and training contracts. For adults, we provide precise training that meets the competence needs of working life. Vocational education is applied for through both continuous and joint application. Additionally, Tredu organizes basic education for adults in Tampere. The education is aimed at persons over 17 years of age who have not completed basic education or who wish to supplement their previous studies. We are seeking an hourly teacher for a fixed-term official relationship for the period 31.8.2026-31.7.2027. The primary place of work at the start of the service relationship is Tredu's Hepolamminkatu campus, Tampere. As a teacher in the field of print communication, you must have strong expertise in sheet-fed offset and digital printing, screen printing, post-processing, and the maintenance of printing equipment, as well as graphic design software. Additionally, your duties include guiding students in learning that takes place at the educational institution and the workplace, assessing competence, and strengthening and developing cooperation with working life. To succeed in this position, you need good interaction, cooperation, and teamwork skills. Eligibility requirements are determined according to Section 13 of the Decree on the Qualifications of Teaching Staff 986/1998. We use a probationary period for official positions, which can be up to half the duration of the fixed-term service relationship. Before assuming the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act. Remuneration is according to OVTES. The salary consists of a position-specific salary, an annual increment, and possible other salary supplements.
