Equine Medicine Internship 2026-2027 The University Veterinary Hospital is seeking a CLINICAL INTERN VETERINARIAN for the equine hospital for the period 1.10.2026 – 1.10.2027. Clinical intern veterinarians complete the Internship program at the University Veterinary Hospital's equine hospital. The Internship program is used in veterinary faculties at European and American universities and has yielded positive experiences at the University Veterinary Hospital. During the year, the intern works under the guidance of specialized veterinarians in the equine hospital. Thanks to close cooperation with specialists in their field, the intern year offers selected veterinarians the opportunity for in-depth familiarity and development of professional expertise. In addition to clinical patient work, the daily operations of our teaching hospital are reflected in the interns' duties through participation in the clinical teaching of veterinary students. The intern also participates in weekend and holiday on-call duties, for which supplements are paid according to the general collective agreement for universities. A veterinary degree licensed in Finland is required for the position. Applicants are expected to have good Finnish language skills. Acceptance into a specialization program (note: application in autumn 2026) is considered an advantage. Why us? Further information The salary for the position is based on level 3 of the university salary system's requirement level map for teaching and research staff. The position-specific salary is approximately €3,303.99, in addition to which on-call supplements are paid according to the university collective agreement. During the intern year, annual leave is accrued at 2 days/month, and leave can be used flexibly by agreement during the year.
