Two fixed-term positions for EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHERS are available at Meri-Toppila Day Care Centre, starting by agreement in August and ending on 30.6.2027. Meri-Toppila Day Care Centre is now looking for a motivated and heartfelt early childhood education teacher to strengthen its team. The qualification requirement for an early childhood education teacher is the eligibility according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018 26§), taking into account applicants according to the transitional provision for personnel (75§) of the Early Childhood Education Act 540/2018. A Bachelor of Education degree must include studies that provide professional readiness for early childhood education tasks, or a university of applied sciences degree in social and health care with at least 60 ECTS credits of studies specializing in early childhood education and social pedagogy. Additionally, we require a genuine interest in interacting with children and pedagogical work, good interaction and cooperation skills, initiative and a development-oriented attitude, as well as a cheerful, responsible, and committed approach to work. Work experience in early childhood education and experience working with culturally diverse and multilingual children and families are considered an advantage. The position-specific salary for the early childhood education teacher is based on the level salary system and the levels of expertise and responsibility, ranging from 2,864.37 € to 2,975.07 €. The actual salary consists of the position-specific salary and any other level supplements according to OVTES. The selected person must present a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002) before accepting the position. According to Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act, the employer is responsible for requiring a reliable statement from the employee and trainee/student before starting work that they do not suffer from respiratory tuberculosis. The statement is made before the employment contract is signed. A probationary period is used in the position.
