Agricultural Worker

**Would you like a job where you can truly influence your own job description?** We are looking for an agricultural worker for a pig farm in Ilmajoki. This is the farm's first employee, so there is an interesting opportunity to build a functional daily routine together with the entrepreneur. The work is not cast in a fixed mold; the job description can be built according to the selected person's skills, interests, and strengths. The most important thing is that you are ready to take on diverse farm tasks and want to be involved in developing the farm's operations over the long term. **What does the work involve?** The work is divided into two parts: **Care of slaughter pigs**, which includes for example: - daily care of animals - monitoring and ensuring feeding - cleaning and drying of pens - monitoring animal welfare Occasionally also: - receiving animals, dispatch for sale, and weighing - intermediate cleaning - maintenance and upkeep Animal care takes up approximately 3–4 hours per day on average. The rest of the day consists of **other farm work and field cultivation**, such as: - tractor work - slurry spreading - harrowing and other field work - use of machinery - various maintenance and general farm tasks. **What do we expect from you?** We hope that you have experience in agriculture, particularly in the use of machinery. Tractor handling and field work play an important role in this position. However, we are not looking for just a machine operator, as participation in animal care is an essential part of the job. Previous experience in pig farm work is a plus, but not necessary. The most important thing is the interest in learning and doing the work properly. We especially value that you are: - proactive and hands-on - responsible - ready to work quite independently - reliable and cooperative. The entrepreneur values a relaxed and straightforward approach to work. Once responsibilities are agreed upon, you can perform your work very independently. **What do we offer?** We offer the opportunity to help build a new job description together with the entrepreneur. You can influence your own daily routine and perform a diverse range of animal care, machinery, and field work. The employment is primarily full-time, but if the selected person wishes for part-time work, that is also a possibility. There is enough work for full days, but part-time work can be discussed for the right person. The work is mainly daytime work on weekdays. Working hours are agreed upon together and can be flexible depending on the situation. Work can start immediately once a suitable person is found. **Salary** Salary is agreed upon based on skills and experience. We are ready to pay a salary corresponding to good work. The starting point for the salary is a range where the hourly wage is between 11 and 17 euros depending on skills. **Language Skills** We primarily hope for Finnish language skills, but working in English is also possible for a person who is otherwise suitable for the position.
