Employment Specialist

The Employment Office of Tunturi-Lapland and Pellon is advertising a temporary position for an Employment Specialist in customer service for persons and integration services at the Kittilä office. The role involves customer service work to assess jobseekers’ service needs and to draft employment plans, conduct jobcenter discussions, and provide service guidance. The duties include authorities-related tasks such as unemployment security investigations, statements, and decisions related to services, as well as services for immigrants’ integration. You will also work with employers. The Employment Specialist offers client-centered personal guidance and tailored service paths to promote jobseekers’ placement. Tasks include public employment services’ authority tasks in decision-making and unemployment duties, and collaboration locally, regionally, and nationally. A suitable higher education degree is required; experience in similar customer service roles and knowledge of the labor market and services that promote employment are regarded as positives. A good command of English is also required; Northern Sami language skills are an advantage. The position is placed in the Kittilä municipality pay grade 3TYP42A1, with a base pay of about €3,438.32 per month plus possible seniority allowances and a flat-rate addition of €52.41 for integration work. Weekly working hours are 36.25. The job starts on 1 September 2026 or by agreement. A three-month probationary period applies for new staff.
