The City of Vantaa is seeking an active and courageous school assistant for special education and demanding special needs education at Ilola School. The role involves supporting and assisting students in all daily activities, including washing, dining, school transport, and potential care procedures. The work is physically demanding and requires a willingness to work with children. The assistant must be able to communicate using alternative methods, such as sign language and various communication aids. Close cooperation with guardians and rehabilitative authorities is essential. As a school assistant, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting students' growth, development, and learning. The work is collaborative, ensuring you are never alone in handling challenges. Shifts are scheduled on weekdays between 7:15 AM and 4:15 PM, and work is also required during school holidays in holiday activities. Ilola School is a diverse primary school (grades 1-5) emphasizing respect, safety, cooperation, and positivity.
