Child Day Care Worker

We are seeking a child day care worker or child facilitator for a fixed-term position at Päiväkoti Tiitiäinen, from 31 August 2026 to 22 December 2026. Our play-centered daycare has seven child groups, two of which are preschool groups. It is important to us that every day for a child is safe and offers varied experiences as well as a sense of achievement for both children and staff. We invest in a positive and supportive atmosphere where every Tiitiäinen is heard, understood, and accepted as their own person. In addition to high-quality early childhood education, we offer a stimulating environment where children can grow and learn holistically through play. Play is the natural way for children to learn; it involves exploring, discovering, trying, and experiencing joy and adventure. Play develops thinking readiness, problem-solving skills, language and creativity. Through play, children also learn social skills, emotion regulation, empathy, cooperation, and rules. We educators join the world of play, observe and support children's play, and help children form friendships and participate in play and adventures.
