About the role

We are looking for an early childhood education teacher for day care Lunni! We are looking for a teacher who masters the pedagogy of 2-5-year-old children. Your work partner will be a teacher and an early childhood education childcare worker. There are 19 children in the group. Day care Lunni is located by the sea in Lauttasaari. Nature is easily accessible through forests and shores and offers the opportunity to utilize a diverse learning environment. We have a great, happy and active bunch. We are enthusiastically developing Helsinki's early childhood education in accordance with the Helsinki early childhood education plan. In our unit, play and peer skills as well as sensitive meeting of the child in everyday life are emphasized. What is important to us is genuine encounter, community and the functioning of teams. Come work for us with joy and a positive attitude🌞 As an early childhood education teacher, you are responsible for the construction of your child group's operational culture and learning environment, the planning, implementation, development and evaluation of pedagogical activities and the support of children's individual learning in accordance with the Helsinki early childhood education and pre-primary education plan, the early childhood education unit's operational plan and the child's individual plan (vasu). Eligibility requirements: We require that you have eligibility in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) or, in accordance with the transitional provision (Section 75), a Bachelor of Education degree (lto), a suitable university of applied sciences degree or a previous equivalent college-level degree, e.g., a kindergarten teacher's or social educator's degree (Act 272/2005 and Decree No. 608/2005). A recognition decision made by the National Agency for Education on the basis of foreign education for the position applied for also fulfills the eligibility requirement. In addition, we require good oral and written skills in Finnish. The selected person must present a valid criminal record extract for working with children (504/2002). A report on respiratory tuberculosis for those working with children under school age is checked (Infectious Diseases Act Section 55). When you start a permanent employment relationship as an early childhood education teacher with the City of Helsinki in 2026, we offer you an incentive bonus of 2,000 euros.
