Practical Nurse

Your Role You will work as a practical nurse at Lizeliuskoti, a 40-place 24-hour service housing unit for the elderly in Mynämäki. The residents are elderly people with multiple illnesses, and your work is a central part of their smooth and safe daily lives. You will participate in basic care, medication administration, organizing activities, and rehabilitative nursing work together with the staff on shift. You will have the opportunity to use your expertise extensively and influence the residents' well-being daily. The work is in three-shift rotations. The LOVe medication permit can be completed within an agreed timeframe at the start of employment. What We Expect From You We hope that you have an interest in and experience working with elderly people with memory diseases, as well as a desire to participate in their holistic care. The position requires good oral and written Finnish language skills. A valid LOVe medication permit, knowledge of the RAI assessment system, and a hygiene passport are considered advantages. Eligibility requirements include a vocational qualification in social and health care (practical nurse) or an earlier school-level degree in the field, and valid registration in the JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
