Welcome to join our disability services in the daytime activities of the Southeast region. We are seeking practical nurses and day activity instructors for permanent positions. There are five positions distributed across three different units. The positions start on September 1, 2026, or by agreement. Practical nurses and day activity instructors will work in the Southeast region's daytime activities in Rovaniemi, at the following units: Erkkilänkujan, Myllyntähden, and Varastotien. Clients are adults and minors with intellectual disabilities. You will work standard working hours, with working time varying between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM on weekdays. In our work, it is important to support clients in finding and using their own resources. Speech-supporting and alternative communication methods are used in the units. Employees work in adult groups as well as in morning and afternoon care, where clients also include minors. We respect the individual needs and self-determination of our clients. We want to enable an everyday life for clients that is equal and respects individual needs and freedom of choice. As a practical nurse or day activity instructor, you will participate in guiding clients' daily activities and performing small-scale nursing care. Additionally, practical nurses with medication authorization will participate in implementing clients' medication therapy as needed. WHAT DO WE OFFER? WHAT DOES THE POSITION REQUIRE FROM YOU? - Those working under the title of practical nurse are required to have a practical nurse's degree and registration in JulkiTerhikki/JulkiSuosikki (Valvira). Those working under the title of day activity instructor are required to have a practical nurse's degree or another suitable degree for the field (e.g., youth and leisure instructor). - The positions also require fluent Finnish language skills and a hygiene passport.
