Museum Restaurant Valssi is located beside the Vapriikki Museum Centre near central Tampere. Our restaurant has 250 customer seats and meeting rooms for 10–111 customers. Valssi is a busy lunch restaurant and a popular venue for meetings and celebrations. Our aim is to provide our customers with experiences ranging from an everyday coffee or lunch break to an international celebratory dinner in a unique setting among museums. We are seeking a waiter for Museum Restaurant Valssi for a permanent employment relationship starting on 1 January 2027. You work independently and have good interaction and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure. Good knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages will help you succeed in your daily work. Fluent Finnish and customer-service English are needed to perform the job successfully. Your duties include: - Varied professional waiter duties in café, lunch, meeting and celebration services. - Acting, when necessary, as a substitute for the person responsible for serving alcohol. - Guiding temporary agency workers and trainees, with the opportunity to share your expertise and develop the professional skills of the work community. - Occasionally taking part in sales services, where you can use your customer-service skills. - Ordering, receiving, storing and monitoring goods, and carrying out self-monitoring as part of daily work. - Dishwashing and general maintenance cleaning. The eligibility requirement is at least a relevant vocational upper-secondary qualification, for example a vocational qualification in the restaurant sector, as well as an alcohol-passport and a hygiene-passport. Previous experience as a waiter is also required. Solid experience in lunch, meeting and celebration services and in working in sales services is considered an advantage. The position-specific salary is €2,374.80 per month, plus an experience supplement and possible other salary supplements. The position includes weekend work and some evening work.
