School Assistant

We are looking for you, who are motivated to perform the duties of a school assistant, to join our community-oriented and professional team at Hiidenkivi Comprehensive School. The goal of your work as a school assistant is to guide and support the learner in different stages of the school attendance and learning process. The school assistant works in grades 1-9 of a comprehensive school. You will guide students in need of support in a large class or in flexible smaller groups. Meeting children and young people and good interaction skills are emphasized in the work. Hiidenkivi Comprehensive School is a comprehensive school with 775 students in Tapanila, Helsinki. We emphasize group pedagogy and community learning. Our school offers media-oriented and Swedish language immersion teaching. Your working hours as a school assistant are 26 h/week. Flat salary 1632.15€, when the working time is 26 h/week. In addition, the salary includes possible additions according to KVTES. The flat salary may change according to expertise and level of responsibility. The total number of hours for the school assistant can be reviewed once per school year within the school's resources for the school's operating time. Annual holidays are mainly timed to school holiday periods. During school holidays, school assistants and special school assistants can also work in the centralized holiday activities for disabled children.
