Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Participate in post-election lessons learned and operational review of the 2026 General Elections
  • Lead the planning and coordination of election logistics operations for remaining and re-elections
  • Develop comprehensive logistics plans and implementation schedules
  • Manage development and finalization of election materials
  • Ensure timely availability and distribution of election materials and equipment
  • Support planning and management of procurement activities, including international procurement and shipment
  • Review and strengthen warehouse management procedures and systems
  • Support post-election retrieval and reconciliation of election materials
  • Develop transportation and distribution plans and improve last-mile delivery mechanisms
  • Support institutional capacity development and deliver targeted operational training for NEBE staff
  • Strengthen logistics information management systems and develop performance monitoring tools
  • Coordinate with government institutions, suppliers, and development partners
  • Contribute to NEBE's medium-term election logistics strategy and risk management frameworks

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master's) in Project Management, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Social Science or Related Field
  • Bachelor's degree in the above fields with an additional two years of qualifying experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project or logistics management (with Master's) or 7 years (with Bachelor's), especially in election management
  • Proven experience in election logistics, warehouse management and transportation coordination, including aviation logistics
  • Experience managing large-scale logistics operations
  • Experience in stakeholder coordination in complex political environments
  • Fluency in English and Amharic
