Service Coordinator

The South Savo Wellbeing Services County Eloisa is seeking a Service Coordinator for a fixed-term official relationship in client guidance for the elderly for the period 17.8.2026 - 31.12.2026. The position is located within the Savonlinna team. Interviews may be conducted during the application period. In client guidance for the elderly, we support people over 65 and their relatives in various life situations. The Service Coordinator comprehensively assesses the client's life situation, makes service decisions, and provides individual guidance, advice, and assistance to clients and relatives, including the arrangement of home services and challenges related to housing and financial situations. We require flexibility, good cooperation and interaction skills, an independent work approach, and a positive attitude toward development. Work experience in client and service guidance for the elderly is considered an advantage. The position requires travel; therefore, a valid driver's license and access to a car are essential for performing the duties. Eligibility requirements include a University of Applied Sciences degree in gerontechnology (geronomi) or social services (sosionomi), or an earlier institute-level degree, as well as legalization in accordance with the Act on Social Care Professionals (817/2015). Additionally, sufficient oral and written proficiency in Finnish is required for the performance of the duties. Before the selection is confirmed, the selected candidate must present a health certificate. A six (6) month probationary period applies to the employment relationship. A person working with the elderly must present an acceptable criminal record extract before starting work in employment relationships exceeding 3 months (Supervision Act 741/2023 Section 28).
