Registered Nurse

The wellbeing services county of South Savo (Eloisa) is seeking a registered nurse for a permanent position at Pietarinpirtti in Mikkeli, starting September 1, 2026, or by agreement. Pietarinpirtti provides community-based and 24-hour assisted living for elderly clients, with a total of 48 client places. The facility also operates a day center on weekdays, which brings additional activity to the daily routine. Pietarinpirtti is centrally located near the city. As a registered nurse, you will be responsible for the overall nursing care and its high-quality implementation in the clients' daily lives. Your work includes planning, daily implementation, and evaluation of nursing care according to the individual needs of the clients. You will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of medication therapy in accordance with valid medication permits, as well as supporting clients' functional capacity and promoting their well-being. You will participate in planning and organizing activities that enrich and give meaning to daily life in close cooperation with other staff and various partners. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, and your duties also include primary nursing tasks. We expect a genuine interest in elderly clients and commitment to the work community. Eligibility requirements include a Bachelor of Nursing degree or a previous college-level degree, as well as authorization in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/94). Additionally, sufficient oral and written proficiency in Finnish is required for the performance of the duties. The position requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a health certificate regarding respiratory tuberculosis as per Section 55. A six (6) month probationary period applies to the employment relationship. A person working with the elderly must present an acceptable criminal record extract before starting work in service relationships exceeding 3 months (Supervision Act 741/2023 Section 28).
