Testing Engineer

We are seeking a meticulous Testing Engineer to join Outokumpu in Degerfors. The role acts as the quality lead in the testing laboratory, testing products for corrosion resistance, mechanical and metallurgical properties. You will ensure processes comply with ISO 17025, STAFS regulations and other governing methods, and will have overall responsibility for internal and external audits. You will work closely with the lab manager and colleagues to drive continuous improvement, safety, and environmental health in the lab; you will also act as deputy lab manager and take operational responsibility when the head is away. Responsibilities include participating in occupational safety work, securing and developing accreditation according to ISO 17025, developing testing methods, leading audits, handling deviations and customer complaints, and driving improvement projects in quality and safety. The ideal candidate holds post-secondary engineering education in materials engineering, testing technology, metallurgy or equivalent, and has experience as a testing technician. English and Swedish proficiency is required.
