Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be the technical face of Revvity across Spain, ensuring our cutting-edge diagnostic and life science instruments deliver maximum value to customers. Your expertise will directly impact customer satisfaction, instrument uptime, and ultimately, scientific breakthroughs in laboratories nationwide. Collaborating closely with Sales, Applications, and Service teams across Europe, you'll contribute to Revvity's overall business performance and growth. Based in Madrid or Valencia with 50% travel throughout Spain, you'll combine technical excellence with customer partnership and teamwork to drive our service reputation and commercial success. Diagnose, repair, and maintain Revvity's Diagnostics and Life Sciences portfolio (immunoassay platforms, LC/MS, DNA extractors, plate readers, imaging systems, liquid handling, etc.) ensuring maximum uptime across Spanish territory. Execute preventive maintenance schedules and respond to service calls, prioritizing critical customer needs. Manage and track technical escalations, coordinating with European technical support and product specialists to ensure timely resolution. Provide on-site technical training and troubleshooting support to optimize instrument performance. Partner with Sales, Applications, and European Service teams to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and growth opportunities. Share field insights with Product Management to support continuous improvement initiatives. Manage spare parts inventory and complete all service documentation, reports, and expenses per SLA requirements. Maintain current technical documentation and ensure compliance with Quality Management System and safety standards. Align activities with departmental KPIs and performance targets. Education: Technical degree: Advanced Vocational Training (CFGS/FP Superior) or University degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years in field service engineering with proven ability to independently resolve complex technical issues. Hands-on experience with analytical/clinical instrumentation in laboratory environments (pharmaceutical, research, clinical, academic). Track record of successful preventive and corrective maintenance on sophisticated technical equipment. Advanced PC skills including Windows, networking, and laboratory information systems. Technical Skills: Strong electronics background, preferably in high-tech service environments. Understanding of analytical and clinical instrument applications. Experience with any Revvity portfolio instruments is a strong plus (immunoassay platforms, LC/MS, DNA extractors, plate readers, imaging systems, liquid handling, etc.). Soft Skills & Languages: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact professionally at all customer levels. Autonomous, organized, and rigorous with strong team collaboration mindset. Fluent Spanish and strong English skills (able to communicate effectively in technical discussions, write reports, and collaborate with international teams); additional languages are a plus. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 50% throughout Spain.
