Hello, you interested in assistant work! Join Onni to do important, client-oriented work in assistance services in a permanent employment relationship. As a personal assistant, you help our clients live a full life on their own terms. Onni’s clients are people who need help with everyday tasks because of illness or disability. You assist with household tasks and activities outside the home. Client relationships can vary in nature and level, and duties are always determined by the client’s condition and individual support needs. The work is varied and, if you wish, may include several clients and tasks during the same day. You do not need relevant education or previous experience; what matters is the right attitude toward assistance work, willingness to learn new things, and a client-oriented approach in different situations. All our new assistants receive comprehensive training at Onni’s own Avustaja Academy before starting work, and training continues during employment as needed. You receive continuous guidance and support from your team supervisor and will not be left alone with questions or possible work-related challenges. Work is mainly in two shifts on weekdays and weekends. Shifts last from two hours upward, and a workday may consist of one or more clients. You can influence your shifts and work part-time or on a casual basis in the way that best suits your life situation. We take account of both our clients’ need for assistance and our assistants’ work preferences, matching them as well as possible. If needed, the first shift with a client is an orientation shift; afterward, both the assistant and client can assess, among other things, how well the cooperation works and whether they are compatible. If something concerns you later or does not work as planned, we will discuss it together and find a suitable solution. If you wish, you can work with several Onni clients when schedules can be coordinated.
