In our nursing homes, help and care are available around the clock, and individual care continues until the final moments of life. Registered nurses enable high-quality care for residents and are key employees in the home. As a registered nurse, you will have diverse opportunities to develop, orient, implement, and supervise care work at Topaasikoti. The unit is located with excellent transport connections in Vantaa Kivistö. Your tasks in a nutshell: * registered nurse's responsibilities (e.g., cooperation with pharmacies and doctors) * medication management areas (e.g., orientations related to medication lockers and drafting medication plans together with the unit manager) * handling acute resident matters and possible consultations * close cooperation with stakeholders * participation in daily nursing work * nursing procedures implemented in the home (e.g., seasonal vaccinations) * orientation and internal training of nursing staff * planning, implementation, and supervision/evaluation of high-quality nursing work in cooperation with the unit manager * the work is two-shift work, including weekends (possibility for morning-shift oriented working hours) * responsibility for resident safety In this position, you report to the unit's team lead and manager. We expect from you: * suitable education for the position (Bachelor of Health Care/Registered Nurse) * previous experience in similar positions * fluent written and spoken Finnish language skills * motivation and courage to actively participate in the development work of the new nursing home's operations * good meeting and interaction skills * good teamwork skills and a positive attitude Completed medication management exams are considered an advantage. The position requires a social and health care professional card (sote-ammattikortti), vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act, and a criminal record extract for working with the elderly.
