We are seeking a substitute Service Manager for the Ostrobothnia Wellbeing Services County, with the initial placement at Fyrrykartano. The substitution begins on September 28 and ends on December 31, 2026. Round-the-clock residential services provide a home for elderly people who need 24-hour assistance and guidance in daily activities. Home is a place where one can live and be while pursuing things that are important to them and support holistic well-being. Our starting point is to provide our elderly residents with a high-quality, safe life and an active daily routine that reflects the individual. We are now looking for a positive, professional Service Manager for a fixed-term employment contract. The work consists of daytime hours on weekdays from Monday to Friday. Together with the immediate supervisor, the Service Manager plans, leads, and develops nursing work and supports other staff in maintaining and developing their professional skills. The Service Manager carries out nursing work, ensuring the holistic care of the client/resident in cooperation with relatives and other professional groups. They act as a nursing expert in a multidisciplinary working group, where the application of new knowledge and methods as well as independent decision-making ability are emphasized. The Service Manager is responsible for the flow of information within their unit, the guidance and orientation of staff and students, the implementation and development of occupational safety, and the realization of high-quality nursing work. In this role, versatile interaction and cooperation skills, as well as the ability to handle criticism and stress, are required. We consider it important that you meet people as equal actors. The position requires expertise in personnel administration, the ability to plan and develop operations, decision-making related to client work, and cooperation and communication skills. The Service Manager must be proficient in various IT information systems and technical devices. The continuous development and quality assurance of social and health care require constant monitoring of the field. If you possess organizational and coordination skills, rapid decision-making and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity for independent work, you are the person we are looking for. We require a valid medication administration exam, a hygiene passport, and sufficient vaccination protection. First aid skills (EA1 and EA2) are valued. Those invited for an interview should bring original degree and work certificates. Eligibility requirement: A licensed professional as defined in the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994), with supplementary training suitable for management tasks equivalent to 30 ECTS credits. Good oral and written skills in both national languages of the country. The selected candidate must have vaccination protection in accordance with Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act (1227/2016). Additionally, the selected candidate must present an extract from the criminal record as referred to in Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act. A probationary period will be applied.
