We are looking for a cook to join the skilled team responsible for food service at the garrison canteen Someron in Rovaniemi. The army does not march on an empty stomach, and food plays a key role in supporting conscripts’ endurance. You and your colleagues in the garrison canteen are key to ensuring that conscripts have the energy to perform their service. In addition to catering for conscripts, the lunch table is also set for Defence personnel. If your future job offers not only varied restaurant tasks but also a patriotically meaningful work environment, this position is for you. The suitable candidate has prior experience in similar tasks, training in the catering sector, and the ability to prepare larger quantities of tasty food. You should have a desire to learn, work well in a team, and be proactive and independent. Finnish language skills are required as the primary working language and recipes are in Finnish. We offer a permanent (in effect) contract at 90 hours/3 weeks. Working hours follow restaurant opening hours, Mon–Sun. Salary is according to marates, 12.97–14.33 €/hour, depending on experience and education. The position is a StaffPoint–employee arrangement. A successful candidate will be required to pass an approved security clearance.
