The wellbeing services county of South Savo (Eloisa) is seeking two instructors for the Siekkilä service home in Mikkeli for permanent employment starting September 7, 2026, or by agreement. Siekkilä service home provides 24-hour intensive supported housing and community-based day activities for clients with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders who require strong support. Siekkilä is a home for 15 adults, where individual rehabilitation, the realization of self-determination, and the management of one's own life and wellbeing are supported. The service home emphasizes autism and psychosocial rehabilitation. Instructors support clients in the service home, during leisure time, and in various day activity environments. The work is three-shift work. We value teamwork skills, initiative, and a positive attitude toward development. Eligibility requirements include a suitable vocational qualification in the social and health care sector or a previous vocational qualification of the same level in the field, as well as registration in the professional register of the License and Supervision Authority (Valvira). Additionally, sufficient oral and written Finnish language skills are required for the performance of the duties. The position requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a health certificate regarding respiratory tuberculosis according to Section 55. A six (6) month probationary period applies to the employment relationship. A person working with disabled people must present an acceptable criminal record extract before starting work in employment relationships exceeding 3 months (Supervision Act 741/2023 28§).
