Ship Services Installer / Temporary Network Builder

We are looking for people with experience in shipyard environments, shipbuilding, or industrial piping, gas, compressed-air, ventilation, or heating systems. In the role, you will work with temporary systems needed during ship construction. This is practical shipyard work involving the construction, maintenance, repair, and dismantling of networks and systems required by production. Your tasks may include: - Building, maintaining, and dismantling oxygen and acetylene networks. - Installing and dismantling compressed-air and shielding-gas networks. - Maintaining and repairing temporary networks. - Installing and repairing gas and compressed-air hoses. - Arranging heating during ship construction. - Building and maintaining temporary ventilation and fume extraction. - Inspecting networks, connections, and distribution centres. - Locating leaks and testing networks. - Maintaining systems during the construction project. - Dismantling completed temporary systems as work progresses. - Other tasks related to ship services and systems supporting shipyard production. What do we expect from you? Previous experience in similar ship-service or temporary-network work is of particular interest. You may also be suited to the role through other technical experience. Your background may include: - Shipyard or shipbuilding work. - Pipe installation. - HVAC installation. - Industrial gas or compressed-air systems. - Industrial ventilation and heating. - Industrial maintenance. - Machinery or equipment installation.
