Childcare Worker

We are recruiting for a fixed-term role as a childcare worker in the 1-3 year group at Hukanpesä Daycare. The position runs from 1 September 2026 to 24 June 2027, with an starting date to be confirmed during recruitment. The work time is 38.25 hours per week. The day care emphasizes a supportive, experimental and creative team environment with skilled colleagues, supervisory staff, and dedicated substitute personnel. The daycare centers are located near nature and provide diverse learning environments through a well-defined operating structure and a child-focused Joensuu early childhood plan. Our staff is trained and pedagogically capable. The role involves interaction-focused work requiring professionalism, cooperation, respect for others, and consideration. You will participate as a member of your team in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the group’s activities. The role requires ability to work with children of all ages, including under 3 years, and requires good Finnish language skills. Qualification according to the Varhaiskasvatuslaki (504/2018) e.g. a practical nurse with a focus on children, a childcare worker or a child facilitator.
