About the role

Production Project Manager, Patria, Tampere We are looking for an expert with experience in industrialization and production to lead a new and interesting production startup and development project for Patria. If you identify as a solution-oriented doer, apply now! Company: Patria Land Oy Location: Tampere Start date: As soon as possible Employment type: Full-time, permanent Job type: Rental assignment Job Description: As a Production Project Manager, you will operate in a central and responsible role in the startup and industrialization of a new production project. In this position, you will not act solely as a traditional delivery project manager, but will take a holistic approach to "Patria-izing" an existing product, bringing it into series production, and effectively streamlining production processes. You will be responsible for setting up a new production space and line, equipment and machine procurement, and optimizing production from the start according to Lean principles. In your daily work, you will work seamlessly with management, procurement, as well as factory floor mechanics and equipment manufacturers. You move fluidly between strategic planning and practical execution — you are not afraid to go to the production floor to ensure installation progress, but you can also operate with a confident grip with suppliers and partners. As the project progresses, you will have an excellent opportunity to remain responsible for the operation and management of the established factory. Tasks: - Industrialization, streamlining, and startup of production: Converting an existing product concept into an efficient, flowing, and Lean-based production process. - Process efficiency and development: Identifying production bottlenecks, minimizing waste time, and continuous optimization of production efficiency. - Preparations and procurements: Mapping and setting up production spaces, machine and equipment procurement, and coordination of installations. - Supplier and stakeholder cooperation: Active communication with equipment and component suppliers, real estate, procurement, and the product development organization. - Ensuring production readiness: Ramping up production so that the planned volume is produced with high efficiency and quality. - Floor-level guidance & development: Close hands-on cooperation with installers and production staff to ensure a smooth and efficient daily routine. We are looking for: - Work experience: Several years of experience in an industrial production environment (most recently e.g., as a production manager, production development manager, or industrialization project manager). - Industry background: Experience in the electronics industry or related mechanical assembly (e.g., medical devices, small electronics, home appliances, plastic and electrical components). - Attitude and working style: Strong hands-on approach, decisive implementation capability, and the ability to achieve results on a fast schedule. - Language skills: Fluent Finnish and English. - Other: Valid driver's license (own car facilitates movement between different sites). Experience in setting up a new production line or factory and change management of a larger production organization is considered an advantage. The selected person will undergo a security clearance and drug testing. Recruitment Process: Academic Work handles this search on behalf of its client. Candidates are interviewed continuously. The selection process includes tests measuring personality traits and cognitive ability. Patria Land Oy Patria is an international defense, security, and aviation technology company, acting as a strategic partner for the Finnish Defense Forces. As an AW consultant, you get the opportunity to grow professionally, build your network, and create invaluable contacts for your future. A designated consultant manager will support you along the way.
