Do you want to help strengthen risk management in a modern bank in a changing and regulated environment? We are now looking for a Risk Analyst for the Operational Risks & Security function within Ålandsbanken, located in either Mariehamn, Helsinki, or Stockholm. About the role As a Risk Analyst, you will be a central part of the bank's independent risk management function. You will work closely with the business and contribute to developing, monitoring, and strengthening the bank's work with operational risks with a focus on risk analysis. The role involves broad responsibility and gives you a unique opportunity to gain insight into the entire bank – from business operations to IT and regulatory requirements. Your main tasks - Be responsible for and further develop processes and methodology for identification, analysis, and monitoring of operational risks - Support the business in operational risk mapping and assessments - Report and contribute to decision-making documents for management and the board - Develop methods and streamline ways of working for operational risk analysis, be responsible for the self-assessment process and work with the NPA process - Ensure that internal steering documents are current, relevant, and of high quality - Monitor the environment and follow the development of regulations and contribute to the bank meeting external requirements Your background We are looking for someone with a university degree or other suitable education as well as experience of working within risk, compliance, or internal governance. You also have a good understanding of regulatory requirements and risk analysis methodology Your profile To thrive and succeed in the role, you have an analytical and structured way of working as well as a clear drive to complete tasks. You combine a holistic perspective with accuracy in details and work independently with high integrity. Since the role involves many contact surfaces within the bank, it is important that you enjoy collaborating with different parts of the organization and communicate in a clear and trustworthy manner. You have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English in speech and writing. Knowledge of Finnish is a merit.
