If you answered yes, this could be the role for you: We are seeking a practical nurse for the Vuori ward at the New Children's Hospital to cover care leave. The substitution is initially from 31.8. to 31.12.26, and a continuation is likely. The Vuori ward treats cardiological and surgical patients aged 0–16, as well as newborns. Many of the cardiological and pediatric surgical patients are toddlers and infants. Problems related to patients' respiration, hemodynamics, or nutrition require particularly precise monitoring, observation, and readiness for rapid medical interventions. Multiproduct team collaboration and close cooperation with the families of child patients are emphasized in the work. Nursing care is based on meeting patients according to their age and development and implementing family nursing. The work is full-time three-shift work. Experience in pediatric specialized care is considered an advantage. Eligibility requirements Degree as a practical nurse or basic care nurse. We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health certificate regarding pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units. The selected person must present a criminal record extract required for those working with children in accordance with Section 6, Subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993).
