Job Description
The duties of a registered nurse in the first-line mental health and substance abuse services consist of assessing the need for care, guided self-care, working at the walk-in VIA clinic, and health counseling for intravenous drug users. Duties include network work considering the client's situation and individual needs, as well as leading groups. The work may also include the implementation of opioid substitution treatment. To ensure the right kind of help at the right time for clients, we use a therapy navigator and primary structuring in the assessment of psychological well-being. Treatment periods are goal-oriented, structured, and time-limited. You will succeed in your work with a client-oriented and independent approach. Good interaction skills, self-direction, and problem-solving ability support performance in the core tasks. We hope that you have expertise and experience in independent clinic work as well as experience working with mental health and substance abuse clients. We expect an active, enthusiastic, and motivated attitude towards the position. To support your work, we offer comprehensive orientation, the support of a supervisor and a professional team, and group supervision. Eligibility requirement: licensed registered nurse and a valid medication dispensing permit or completion of it within three months of the start of employment. Additionally, the position requires: - Vaccination protection in accordance with Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act. - Tuberculosis screening in accordance with Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act. Workplace name and address: Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Lohja, Kauppakatu 5-9, 08100 Lohja. First-line mental health and substance abuse service points are also located at Nummenselkä 2, Nummela and Huhdintie 23, Karkkila. There may be occasional substitution needs at these locations, so we hope you have the possibility to use your own car. Working hours: 37 h 45 min / week. The position is permanent.
