Job Description
Are you interested in working with postpartum women and newborns? Is baby-friendliness close to your heart, and are you motivated by guiding families from birth to recovery, breastfeeding, and baby care? We are seeking two midwives for permanent positions at the Women's Clinic Postpartum Ward 61. In our ward, we provide specialized medical care for postpartum women and newborns in family rooms. The role includes a work rotation to the Family Nest Hotel at Scandic Meilahti. We value readiness for change, a flexible and positive attitude, and a genuine interest in postpartum nursing and its development. Good guidance, cooperation, and interaction skills will support you in your work. We operate according to the baby-friendly program. Our work is guided by family-centeredness and customer-orientation. The work is in three shifts. You will receive a good and comprehensive orientation for your role. We offer a pleasant and immediate work community where you can perform and develop your work with a competent and multidisciplinary team. Additionally, you have the opportunity to train for home midwife activities and postpartum care at the postpartum clinic. Work begins on 05.10.2026 or by agreement. The position follows the probationary period according to the SOTE agreement. Job-specific salary is €3,218.18/month plus possible experience and other bonuses. Eligibility requirements Authorized midwife or authorized registered nurse with a specialist nursing degree in maternity care and gynecology. Language requirements: good oral and written skills in Finnish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Swedish, or good oral and written skills in Swedish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Finnish. We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health certificate regarding pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
