Specialist Physician position in the Centralized Services line at HUS Psychiatry starting September 1, 2026! We are looking for a specialist physician for a hospitalist position at HUS Psychiatry. The position is located in the centralized services line, but the hospitalist serves a wide range of HUS Psychiatry functions. The duties include the diagnosis and treatment of somatic diseases of psychiatric patients in psychiatric wards and outpatient care. In addition, the hospitalist's duties include, among other things, infection control, development of operational models for smoking cessation and somatic emergencies, and medication safety content, cooperation with exercise and nutrition therapists, as well as observation of general somatic development needs and long-term development and teaching together with the HUS Psychiatry hospitalist team. Work is done as part of a multidisciplinary team and in close cooperation with treating psychiatrists and physicians specializing in psychiatry. Come and help develop impactful care! Eligibility requirements: Specialist physician qualification in a suitable specialty, licensed physician or permit to act in the duties of a physician. Language requirements: good oral and written skills in Finnish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Swedish, or good oral and written skills in Swedish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Finnish. We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health statement on pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
