Maunula 1 home care is looking for a nurse for a fixed-term substitute position from 12.10.2026-28.2.2027. The team's office is located in the facilities of Suursuo hospital. You will work in the Maunula and Pakila areas, where a compact working area allows for smooth transitions between clients. Movement in the area is possible by public transport or electric bike, and manual and automatic cars are available if needed. Our team consists of 20 practical nurses, three nurses and a responsible nurse. In addition, you will receive support from the area supervisor, social guide, named physiotherapist, administrative assistant and home care professional. As a home care nurse, you are responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. The work offers the opportunity to build long-term client relationships and perform a holistic evaluation of care in clients' own homes. In your work: you participate in the daily care and basic care of clients; you implement versatile nursing tasks, such as wound and ostomy care, catheterizations, injections and medication therapy; you monitor clients' well-being and evaluate care needs; you participate in discharges and the reception of new clients; you cooperate with doctors and other professionals; you guide and support practical nurses in their daily work. Eligibility requirement: Bachelor's degree in nursing or previous college-level degree or specialist nursing degree or health care nurse or midwife degree, which includes licensing as a nurse. The position requires licensing in Finland according to the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994, 1200/2007). Language requirement is good oral and written skill in Finnish (at least level B2.1). Before the selection decision, the applicant must present an occupational health assessment of their ability to perform the tasks involved in the work and a certificate regarding a drug test. The position requires a tuberculosis investigation according to Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act. The position requires the presentation of a criminal record extract for those working with elderly people (Act on the Supervision of Social and Health Care 741/2023, Section 28). The position requires the successful completion of the LOP/LOVe LOP medication permit. Medication permits are completed at the beginning of the employment relationship and must be successfully completed by the end of the probation period.
