Cook (gig work), Onnikoti Valo, Kuopio Come work as a cook at Onnikoti Valo in Kuopio. Do you enjoy a busy kitchen and seeing the tangible results of your work at the end of the day? We are looking for a cook for gig work and annual-leave substitutions at our home. As a cook, you will independently be responsible for the kitchen’s daily operations. Your days will include preparing food, taking special diets into account, self-monitoring, and keeping the kitchen running smoothly. We value good food, a practical approach, and getting things done as agreed. We also prepare meals for a nearby neighbouring unit, so the role occasionally includes transporting food between units. For this reason, a category B driving licence is considered an advantage. We expect you to have: Cook training or equivalent skills A hygiene passport Experience with special diets The ability to manage broad responsibilities and organise your own work An independent approach and a sense of responsibility The ability to handle pressure, including in busy situations Cooperation skills and a positive attitude Care duties require at least B1-level Finnish-language proficiency, while assisting duties require at least A2 level or equivalent, as well as a commitment to maintaining your language skills. The work requires vaccination protection under the Communicable Diseases Act, a tuberculosis assessment, a salmonella certificate, and a hygiene passport. Work is mainly on weekdays between 7:00 and 15:00. Work is available as individual gigs and longer annual-leave substitutions. Under the Act on the Supervision of Social and Health Care, those selected for work with older or disabled people must present the criminal-record extract referred to in section 6(2) of the Criminal Records Act.
