**Employment type:** permanent / full-time **Location:** Rautatienkatu 23A, 68600 Pietarsaari **Application deadline:** August 16 Are you looking for a versatile electrical design role that combines customer work, practical implementation, and the opportunity to see the results of your work in finished products? We are now looking for an Electrical Designer to strengthen our growing expert team in the Pietarsaari region. **What will you do?** As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for wiring harness and electrical design projects, particularly for customers in the boating industry. You will work throughout the entire design process, from the first sketches to the final production documentation. You will design solutions for both existing and completely new boat models and see the results of your work as concrete products. Your workday may include, for example, documenting a model wiring harness received from a customer, preparing electrical and wiring harness drawings, and designing new electrical systems. As projects progress, you will work closely with customers, production, and sales to ensure that solutions are both technically functional and manufacturable. In this role, you will also participate in customer meetings and act as a technical expert during different stages of the projects. Depending on your interest, you can also be involved in technical sales support, component selection, and the development of new solutions. **Who are we looking for?** We are looking for an electrical engineering professional with experience in electrical design and the ability to work in a project-responsible role. Previous experience in the boating industry is an advantage but not a necessity, as the most important factors are a strong interest in electrical technical solutions and the ability to grasp overall systems. We hope that you enjoy collaborating with different people and can work naturally with customers, production, and other stakeholders. We especially value a proactive approach, a self-starting attitude, and a desire to develop operations together with the rest of the organization. **Requirements for the applicant:** - Appropriate electrical engineering education (e.g., Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering) - Previous experience in electrical design, e.g., in wiring harness, cable, machine, equipment, or automation design - Ability to work independently as well as in cooperation with customers and production - Good skills in Finnish and English **Additional advantages:** - Experience in electrical design for the boating industry - Swedish language skills **We offer you:** - The opportunity to develop your skills in a versatile and responsible job description - Support from experienced colleagues and an operating environment where design, production, and customer understanding work closely together - Diverse projects where you see the impact of your work from design to the finished product - A low-hierarchy work community where ideas quickly progress to practical solutions - A position in a growth-oriented company where you can increase your responsibility and influence the development of your own role **Practical matters:** In this permanent and full-time position, you will be employed directly by Rikta. The position is located in Pietarsaari, and we hope you have the possibility to work at the office weekly as part of a close-knit and collaborative team. However, the hybrid model is flexible, and remote work is possible as needed. The position also requires occasional travel readiness. The exact start date will be agreed upon flexibly with the selected person. **Interested in the position?** Send your CV and cover letter in PDF format in Finnish by August 16 at the latest via aTalent's application system at: https://emp.jobylon.com/applications/jobs/373932/create/.
