We are Helsinki Shipyard seeking a Cost Estimation Engineer to join the cost estimation team. The role supports and develops cost estimation for ship projects, focusing on long cost calculations, and assisting in the pricing of sales projects. In the early phase, the work centers on comparing long cost calculations, statistical updates, and tracking realization data from ongoing shipyard projects, reviewing and structuring technical material from a costing perspective. As expertise grows, you will participate in cost calculations rounds where experts estimate costs and the sales function consolidates them into price indicators based on statistics, and you will help combine cost and schedule data with the planning team, and prepare summaries for management. The position offers collaboration with design, production, procurement, finance, controllers and leadership. We value the ability to see large pictures, to reason about cause-effect, proactive work style, perseverance, and strong Excel skills with good English. The role requires a suitable university degree (e.g. production economics, technical or commercial field with analytics/calculation emphasis). We offer hybrid work with occasional on-site presence in Helsinki, Turku and Pori. We accept applications until 23 August 2026. We look forward to your application via our recruitment system."
