About the role

We are looking for a teacher for the basic degree in education and guidance in early childhood education for a fixed-term position from 21 September 2026 to 31 July 2027. Join Suomen Diakoniaopisto (SDO). As a teacher you will guide students' learning processes and assess the development of their skills. We expect: a master's-level higher education degree, pedagogical qualification, strong and up-to-date expertise in early childhood education in a daycare environment, knowledge and experience of applying early childhood curriculum in teaching, experience in vocational education and collaboration with working life, excellent communication and teamwork skills, proactive approach to multi-professional cooperation, readiness for online teaching, experience with students requiring special support. Since you will work with minors, you must provide a criminal record extract. We offer: a private sector teaching salary of 3,694–4,857 euros depending on experience and terms of the private sector collective agreement, task-specific orientation, opportunity to apply your skills, sport/culture and commuting benefits, occupational health care with mental well-being services.
