About the role

Discover a new profession in the metal industry – train as a robot welder for a permanent position at Feon Oy! Do you want to enter the metal industry and secure a long-term employment relationship? Here is your chance to acquire a new profession and get straight into practical work. In cooperation with a trainer, we are looking for motivated individuals for robot welder recruitment training. Those who successfully complete the training will be employed in permanent positions at Feon Oy, initially through YES Your Excellent Staff Oy. Feon Oy is a growing metal industry company that expanded its operations by acquiring the business of Ferrum Steel Oy in autumn 2024. The Seinäjoki production unit manufactures versatile steel and metal products for industrial needs. Now you have the opportunity to join a skilled work community and train as a robot welder in a practical production environment. The training is implemented in cooperation with a trainer and the employer. The training combines theoretical studies and practical on-the-job learning in a real production environment. During the training, you will be introduced to the versatile tasks of a welder and robot welder, and the goal is that after the training, you will have the skills for independent work and the opportunity to develop into a metal industry professional. The training is organized in Seinäjoki at Feon Oy's premises at Tehtaantie 17, 60100 Seinäjoki. There are a maximum of 6 study places, and the training is free for participants. The theory section accounts for about 60% of the training, and the rest is implemented as workplace learning. The study time for the theory section is approximately 35 hours per week, and during on-the-job learning, the company's normal working hour arrangements of 40 hours per week are followed. The duration of the training is 3 months. The training is primarily aimed at unemployed job seekers or those at risk of unemployment. Previous experience in the metal industry is not necessary; the most important factors are motivation, willingness to learn, and interest in the field.
