The South Savo Wellbeing Services County Eloisa is seeking a Registered Nurse for a permanent position at the Mikkeli multidisciplinary emergency department starting August 17, 2026, or by agreement. The Mikkeli multidisciplinary emergency department serves as a 24-hour emergency point for the entire South Savo region. We provide high-quality emergency care for patients of all ages across various specialties. The duties of an emergency nurse include the holistic care of acutely ill patients: receiving patients, assessing care needs, implementing treatment, monitoring, and arranging and guiding follow-up care. You will have the opportunity to work at different stations within the multidisciplinary emergency department based on your expertise. Orientation is provided for each station, allowing you to develop into a broad-based professional within the unit. We organize weekly internal training sessions to support your skills and professional development. In our unit, there is an opportunity to plan shifts within common rules and to work 15-hour shifts by separate agreement. Eligibility requirements include a Bachelor of Nursing degree or an earlier institute-level degree, and legalization in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/94). Additionally, sufficient oral and written Finnish language skills are required for the performance of the duties. Experience in acute care is considered an advantage. The position requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a health certificate regarding respiratory tuberculosis as per Section 55. A six (6) month probationary period applies to the employment relationship. Applications must be received by the end of the application period.
