Job Description
We are seeking an afternoon activity supervisor (26 hours/week) for Ojamonharju Comprehensive School for a fixed-term position from August 10, 2026, to June 4, 2027. Your work will focus on supervising afternoon activities for 1st and 2nd grade students. You will collaborate daily with guardians and school staff. Your tasks include: Planning and implementing afternoon activities with other supervisors; Guiding and supporting students during afternoon activities, transitions, snack breaks, and outdoor play; Supervising students' homework; Other agreed tasks related to afternoon activities. Ojamonharju Comprehensive School is a school in Lohja with approximately 600 students. The staff consists of about 80 employees. The school includes grades 1-9 and special classes shared with the city. Our afternoon program involves about 45 children, and activities are conducted within the school premises. You will receive an orientation to your duties. Preferred qualifications include: Respectful interaction with students in all situations; Ability to guide and support students with homework, free play, and outdoor activities; Willingness and ability to collaborate with guardians; Ability and willingness to work with students requiring individual support and those reacting with behavioral issues; Skill in creating structured and well-being supporting activities; Flexibility to adapt to daily situations. In addition, experience-based pay of up to 8% may be paid if applicable. The position is subject to a probation period of half the employment duration. The employer will determine situations requiring a health certificate from Keski-Uudenmaan Työterveys Oy’s Lohja office within one month of starting employment. Additionally, a criminal background check as per law (504/2002) must be provided. Interviews will be held in weeks 24 or 25.
