We are looking for a Social Guidance Counselor for a permanent employment contract at the youth reception department for crisis and assessment work as part of a multidisciplinary team. The work is interesting, varied, and offers daily learning. The counselor's job is to clarify the situation of clients and families, support, encourage, and take care of the basic care and welfare of clients. The goal of the work is to assess and clarify the client's support needs during the placement. We work closely with the family, the youth's close network, and various social and health sector operators. At Youth Reception Department 2, eight social guidance counselors, a nurse, and an occupational therapist work. As part of the multidisciplinary team, a family therapist also operates in the unit. The unit's head counselor serves as the immediate supervisor. Work is done in three shifts, but it is possible to influence the shifts and the shift list in community shift planning. The work requires good interaction skills, the ability to document, and organizational and planning skills. Days are varied, and the ability to adapt as well as the courage to make decisions independently and together with a colleague are emphasized. You dare to laugh, succeed, ask, and make mistakes. You are genuinely interested in others' perspectives, dare to bring up difficult things, and are guided by information. For youth, children, and families, you are a safe and consistent adult who notices the good, encourages in small everyday moments, and supports during a crisis phase of life. A driver's license and driving skills are considered an advantage, as movement with the youth occurs outside the department and in other localities. Vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act is required for the position. Position-specific salary: 3187.75 eur/month, plus a possible addition based on previous work experience. Terms of employment are determined according to the Social and Health Care labor and official agreement (SOTE agreement).
