Controller

Suomen Sydänliitto ry is looking for a controller for a responsible and versatile position where strong financial expertise is at the core of the role. In the position, you are responsible for the financial monitoring of projects, budgeting, forecasts, reporting and the up-to-dateness of documentation. You support the teams implementing the projects throughout the entire project life cycle, especially from a financial perspective. You monitor various sources of funding to identify new project funding, coordinate new project applications and work in active cooperation with both internal experts and funders. In addition, you support the officials of our member organizations in financial questions related to projects. We expect from you a suitable university degree and expertise in financial management or accounting. You have experience in budgeting, preparing forecasts, financial monitoring and reporting. We value extensive knowledge of various project funding instruments and funding models and cooperation with project funders. We hope that you can coordinate several simultaneous entities, absorb new things quickly and operate smoothly with various stakeholders. Proficiency in Finnish and English is important in the position. Experience in similar controller positions, public project funding, Visma Netvisor and the financial and project management of associations, foundations or universities is considered an advantage. Suomen Sydänliitto ry is a solvent association in which we do meaningful work so that Finns live longer and healthier and that heart patients or their loved ones are not left alone with the disease. We finance our activities from various sources so that the share of public funding is about one third of the total funding. Our goal is a further expanding funding base, which currently includes, in addition to STEA grants, EU and other public project funding.
