As an early childhood education social worker, you will participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of pedagogical activities together with other professionals. You will be responsible for educational cooperation with families. Your duties also include strengthening community and inclusion in cooperation with guardians and other child family service providers. You will have the opportunity to develop services and new operating methods from the perspective of promoting the well-being and community of children and families. You will be responsible for promoting children's well-being and providing guidance to children, families, and guardians. The open position is located at Ylästö Day Care Centre. Ylästö Day Care Centre is a 6-group daycare located near Ylästö School, with good and spacious facilities to provide high-quality early childhood education. The daycare is surrounded by nearby playgrounds and forests, as well as great outdoor opportunities in the riverbank nature reserve. We regularly utilize the opportunities provided by the immediate environment in our activities. In the coming term, you will work in a group for 2-4 year olds together with an early childhood education teacher and a childcare worker. We focus on children's peer and emotional skills as well as the child's participation. For us, it is also important to have unhurried encounters between the child and parents, sensitivity, and the building of interaction. Our daycare employs 17 early childhood education professionals and a varying number of assistant staff. Ylästö Day Care Centre is part of the Ylästö operational unit, which includes three daycares. Our unit is managed using a parallel leadership model, where one daycare director is responsible for personnel and another for pedagogy. Our unit implements inclusive leadership, where space is given to your professional expertise.
