We are seeking mechanical fitters for our client company, initially for fixed-term employment. Job Description As a mechanical fitter, your role is to contribute to high-quality and planned shipbuilding. You will be responsible for a wide range of mechanical installation tasks in various areas of the ship. You will work in cooperation with partners during the commissioning phase of different ship projects. You will also ensure occupational safety in your area of responsibility. The work is primarily performed on ships while they are in port, making it a suitable option for those with families, for example. Work is located in Turku, Uusikaupunki, and Rauma. You must be willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary. There is an opportunity to transfer to the client's permanent payroll at a later stage. Your education could be, for example, a pipe fitter, mechanical fitter, marine engineer, mechanical engineer, or plate welder. The main requirement is that you are familiar with the tools and have experience in mechanical installation. We hope you have the courage to take on new challenges. Shipbuilding is a team game, and cooperation skills are key. You should have the prerequisites for good teamwork, initiative, and organizational skills. We expect previous experience in similar roles involving mechanical installations or ship machinery construction. Experience in ship mechanical installation is a significant advantage, but not a necessity if you have performed other installation work.
